Customized Coil Car to Improve Production Efficacy

Some of the stamping factories didn’t plan to equip coil car for the 3-in-1 straightener feeder at the first place because of their metal coils are narrow and light, or because there are have overhead cranes or forklifts on site. Therefore, they may choose a three-in-one feeder without a coil car and manually load the coil materials into the decoiler machine by using cranes/forklifts. However, with the increase in labor costs and the emphasis on production safety, or due to product upgrades, traditional way of loading for coils has become an urgent problem to be solved.

However, due to the aging of the existing three-in-one feeder on-site or the difficulty to reaching out to the original manufacturer, the cost of modification for a customized coil car could be expensive, which often discourages end users.

Max Machinery can customize coil are for any existing feeder, from measuring the dimensions to modifying the hydraulic stations and circuits, we can provide full service of customization. Firstly, we start to gather the information of range of coil outer diameters and then the height and width of the decoiler. Then we can move forward to design the size of coil car and the range of lifting, to ensure that all sizes of coils can be loaded or unloaded by the coil car, minimizing the operation time and cost, completely addressing potential production safety hazards during coil loading.

For this case, since the coil car will be installed on a 3-in-1 feeder made by other manufacturer, we have sent our installation team to the customer's site in Sichuan for installation, including the connection of the circuit and hydraulic system, installation of the mechanical parts, and incorporating the control system into the operating panel and leaving a remote control for the customer's convenience. We also provided training for the on-site personnel and ensured the production before leaving.
